Peruta v. California
United States Supreme Court
137 S. Ct. 1995 (2017)
- Written by Eric Miller, JD
Facts
A California law prohibited the carrying of concealed weapons, with the exception of gun owners who obtained licenses to carry. Obtaining such a license required the applicant to meet his or her county’s requirements for good cause. However, personal-safety concerns alone were not enough to establish good cause. The United States Supreme Court denied certiorari.
