Facts
Pillars (plaintiff) was poisoned as a result of ingesting chewing tobacco that contained a decomposed human toe. The tobacco was manufactured by R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company (Reynolds) (defendant) and was distributed by Corr-Williams Tobacco Company (Corr-Williams) (defendant). Pillars brought a products-liability suit against the defendants. The trial court directed a verdict for the defendants. Pillars appealed.
