Facts
Duane Sweeten died while incarcerated in Leflore County jail. Sweeten’s mother, Loretta Price (plaintiff), sued Leflore County Detention Center Public Trust (the jail) (defendant) for maintaining an unconstitutional policy of denying medical treatment to prisoners and sued jail employee Brandi Saulsberry (defendant) for negligent supervision. Price requested that the jail provide all written complaints related to failure to provide medical treatment to inmates for the previous 10 years. The jail did not respond, and Price moved to compel the jail to provide this information.
