Facts
Carmon Elliott (plaintiff), a 19-year-old taking a course on electrical construction, was on a tour of the electrical substation operated by Public Service Company of New Hampshire (Public Service) (defendant). Elliott was injured when he came too close to a high-tension electrical wire. There were no warning signs in the room where the injury occurred. Elliott brought suit against Public Service and was successful. Public Service appealed. The United States Court of Appeals granted certiorari.
