Pyle v. Waechter
Iowa Supreme Court
202 Iowa 695, 210 N.W. 926 (1926)
- Written by Sarah Hoffman, JD
Facts
Clara Marie Pyle (plaintiff), the mother of Donald Waechter, filed suit against A. Waechter and others (defendants), claiming that although Donald had not been physically kept from her, for a period of 10 years the defendants had poisoned Donald’s mind against her in order to alienate him from her. Pyle claimed that, as a result, Donald had no respect, love, or affection for her, and she had suffered mental anguish. The trial court found for the defendants, and Pyle appealed.
