Reece, Administrator v. Reece
Maryland Court of Appeals
212 A.2d 468 (1965)

- Written by Rich Walter, JD
Facts
Robert Reece (defendant), the administrator of the estate of his aunt, Ida Rhoads, denied the claim of his brother, S. Earl Reece (plaintiff), for a share of that estate. Earl sued Robert and the estate to enforce his claim. Earl produced two documents signed by Rhoads, in which she specified her intention to pay Earl $34,200 for the business and personal services he had performed for her from 1930 to 1949. The trial court entered judgment for Earl in that amount. Robert appealed to the Maryland Court of Appeals.
