Reudlinger v. Jarrett
United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit
106 F.3d 212 (1997)
- Written by Jody Stuart, JD
Facts
Mary Reudlinger (plaintiff) filed a complaint in federal district court pursuant to Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (Title VII), alleging breach of a predetermination settlement agreement by Robert Jarrett (defendant). Reudlinger alleged that she and Jarrett had entered into a predetermination settlement agreement to resolve a charge of discrimination brought on Reudlinger’s behalf by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission against Jarrett. The district court dismissed Reudlinger’s claim for failure to state a claim on which relief could be granted under Title VII. Reudlinger appealed.
