Facts
Steven Canady (defendant) was convicted of physically abusing a family or household member. At Canady’s trial, the complainant testified that she could not remember who hurt her, and she also testified that she could not remember a conversation with a police officer about her injuries. The trial court admitted the police officer’s testimony about the conversation with the complainant over Canady’s hearsay objection. Canady appealed.
