Facts
Richard Hiott (defendant), a minor, unintentionally shot his friend Jose in the eye as the two were “play” shooting at each other with BB guns. Hiott was convicted in juvenile court of third-degree assault. Hiott appealed, arguing that each boy consented to the activity.
