Facts
Bud Hicks shot and wounded Thompson Hooker without provocation. Hicks then fled to Annie Williams’s (defendant) home. When police arrived, Williams and others falsely represented that Hicks had not been at the scene of the crime. Hooker later died from his gunshot wound. Williams was indicted for being an accessory after the fact to Hooker’s murder. Williams was found guilty by the trial court. Williams appealed her conviction.
