Kansas Supreme Court
426 P.2d 267 (1967)
- Written by Craig Conway, LLM
Facts
William Frederick Zimmer (defendant) was convicted of first-degree kidnapping and first-degree murder and sentenced to death. The trial court denied Zimmer’s motion for a new trial and Zimmer appealed, arguing that the trial court erred in convicting him because proper venue as to the murder charge was never established in Shawnee County, Kansas.
