Facts
William Thompson (plaintiff) worked as a security guard for Johnson County Community College (the college) (defendant). The college conducted video surveillance of its security guards’ locker area. The video did not record or pick up audio from the locker area. The locker area was not enclosed and was open to not only security employees but also other college employees. Thompson sued the college, alleging the surveillance violated his Fourth Amendment rights. The college filed a motion for summary judgment.
