Facts
Kailab Hendrickson (defendant) developed problems with substance abuse beginning at age 14. Hendrickson drifted into a life of methamphetamine addiction and criminal behavior. At age 22, Hendrickson was convicted in federal district court of possessing stolen firearms. Per federal sentencing guidelines, the appropriate sentencing range was 37 to 46 months.
