Facts
A grand jury subpoenaed R. Enterprises (defendant) and two other companies for the production of business records and videotapes in relation to allegations of interstate transportation of obscene materials. The companies moved to quash the subpoenas. The district court denied the motion to quash. The court of appeals reversed and quashed the subpoenas issued to two of the three companies. The United States (plaintiff) petitioned the Supreme Court for review.
