United States v. Ryan
United States District Court for the District of Minnesota
124 F.Supp. 1 (1954)
- Written by Richard Lavigne, JD
Facts
Ralph Plitz and Edward Engdahl (defendants) purchased real property in the state of Minnesota. The United States (plaintiff) brought suit to foreclose a tax lien against the property. Plitz and Engdahl asserted that the tax lien was unenforceable because the lien notice on file with the state register of deeds identified only the name of the judgment debtor and did not identify the property against which the lien was claimed. Both parties moved for summary judgment.
