Facts
Yun (plaintiff) was driving a van on the highway when the spare tire attached to the back of the van fell off. Yun pulled over and her father crossed the highway trying to retrieve tire. He was struck by another car and killed. Yun brought suit against a number of defendants, including the manufacturer of the spare tire assembly (defendants). The trial court granted summary judgment to the defendants. Yun appealed.
