Zaslow v. Kroenert
California Supreme Court
176 P.2d 1 (1946)
- Written by Eric Miller, JD
Facts
Zaslow (plaintiff) and Kroenert (defendant) lived together before Kroenert expelled Zaslow from their house. Kroenert and her agent put Zaslow’s personal property in storage, where it remained for four months. Zaslow was informed by a letter that he could pick up his property from storage by applying through his attorney, though Zaslow did not take action in that regard. Zaslow brought suit for trespass and conversion and was awarded the full value of the furniture. Kroenert and her agent appealed. The California Supreme Court granted certiorari.
