Conversion Therapy

Definition

Also called sexual-orientation-change efforts (SOCE), a controversial type of therapy intended to change someone’s sexual orientation or gender identity. Numerous international and national medical organizations have found that conversion therapy is both ineffective and harmful, especially if used on adolescents.
