Military-Contractor Defense

Definition

A defense shielding civilian contractors from liability for manufacturing equipment for the United States military if the government had such specific design and manufacturing requirements that the contractor had no discretion over the decisions in those areas. Also sometimes referred to as the Boyle defense.
