Pinkerton Liability
Definition
Doctrine that states that a conspirator may be found responsible for the substantive crimes committed by a co-conspirator, so long as the crimes were foreseeable and carried out in furtherance of the conspiracy, regardless of whether the conspirator actually participated in their commission.
