Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) § 2-316(1)

Definition

Provision of the Uniform Commercial Code that governs express-warranty disclaimers. The section provides that words that create an express warranty and words that tend to negate or limit warranty must be construed as consistent whenever reasonable, but if such construction is unreasonable, subject to the parol-evidence rule, the negation is inoperative.
