Definition

A test for determining whether an unsecured postpetition loan was acquired by a debtor in the ordinary course of business, in which the court assesses the reasonable expectations of creditors as informed by the creditors’ past relationship with the debtor. The court will take into the account the amount, terms, frequency, sources, and timing of prepetition credit extensions.
