Facts
Craigslist, Inc. (Craigslist) (defendant) owned a platform that allowed third parties to advertise housing. Some of those housing advertisements included language that was discriminatory, such as “NO MINORITIES.” The Chicago Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law, Inc. (the committee) (plaintiff) filed suit against Craigslist, contending that Craigslist violated § 804(a) of the Fair Housing Act.
