Facts
Mrs. Harbeson was prescribed Dilantin, which she alleged caused her to conceive and deliver two deformed babies, Elizabeth and Christine Harbeson (plaintiffs). Mrs. Harbeson brought an action for wrongful life, and Elizabeth and Christine brought an action for wrongful life. Mrs. Harbeson was awarded damages in an amount that exceeded the cost of the birth and rearing of two normal children.
