Hurst v. Papierz
Illinois Appellate Court
16 Ill. App. 3d 574 (1973)

- Written by Josh Lee, JD
Facts
Stanley Papierz, Theresa Papierz, and Stanley Papierz Buildings, Inc. (Papierz) (plaintiffs) entered into a joint venture with Robert Rauth (defendant). For a number of years, Papierz wrongfully and fraudulently denied Rauth’s interest in the joint venture, which was 30 percent. The trial court found in favor of Rauth and appointed a receiver for the joint venture. The trial court also appointed an accounting firm to determine the appropriate amount due to Rauth. Papierz appealed.
