In re Marriage of Glaze
Texas Court of Civil Appeals
605 S.W.2d 721 (1980)
- Written by Whitney Kamerzel , JD
Facts
Ross Glaze (plaintiff) and Mary Elizabeth Glaze (defendant) were married. Ross filed for divorce. Because the Texas court had personal jurisdiction over the Glazes, it granted the divorce and divided the community property. As part of this equitable division, the court ordered Mary to convey real property located in New Mexico to Ross. Mary appealed, arguing that the Texas court did not have jurisdiction over real property located outside of Texas.
