- Written by Josh Lee, JD
Facts
Quentin Mease (plaintiff) rented a home to David and Josephine Fox (defendants). The Foxes vacated the leased home early and stopped paying rent. Mease sued the Foxes, seeking three months’ rent. The Foxes claimed that Mease had failed to perform necessary repairs promptly and that the house was unsafe, unsanitary, and uninhabitable. The trial court ruled for Mease, awarding him $225. The Foxes appealed.
