Facts
Goering (defendant) and other Nazi leaders successfully conspired to take over Germany and launch attacks on other countries. During Goering’s rise to power, many civilians were murdered or treated poorly. Goering and other Nazi leaders exterminated the opposition, exterminated the resistance, reshaped German education, attacked the Treaty of Versailles, planned to exterminate the Jewish people, and engaged in military aggression based on falsehoods. After World War II, Goering was charged with crimes against peace, war crimes, and crimes against humanity.
