Facts
Sarah Walker (plaintiff) and William Perkins reached an agreement to live together but not marry. Under the agreement, William promised that if he died before Walker, he would leave Walker an annuity of £60 per year. William died, and Walker sued the administrator of William’s estate (defendant) to enforce the annuity promise.
