Facts
Michael Watson (defendant) traded oxycodone hydrochloride for a pistol. Watson was indicted for distributing drugs and for using a gun during and in relation to a drug-trafficking offense, in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 924(c)(1)(A). Watson pleaded guilty of all charges but reserved the right to challenge his conviction under § 924(c)(1)(A). The court of appeals affirmed the conviction. Certiorari was granted.
