Facts
Frederick Paige (defendant) paid Ramona Wilcoxen (plaintiff) to board Paige’s dog. Wilcoxen was caring for and exercising control over the dog when the dog attacked and seriously injured Wilcoxen, who sued Paige for damages under the Illinois Animal Control Act (ACA). The trial court granted summary judgment for Paige. Wilcoxen appealed to the Illinois Appellate Court.
