Facts
After dropping her children off at their school, Wilson (plaintiff), a grade school teacher, was injured in an automobile accident while driving to her own school. Her car contained a few books and supplies used in her teaching, as well as papers she graded at home the night before. Wilson brought a claim for workers’ compensation, and was awarded compensation. Her award was reversed by the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board, and Wilson appealed.
