Zaremba v. Cliburn
Texas Court of Appeals
949 S.W.2d 822 (1997)

- Written by Darius Dehghan, JD
Facts
Thomas Zaremba (plaintiff) and Van Cliburn (defendant) lived together without being married. After the relationship ended, Zaremba filed suit, contending that he had an interest in Cliburn’s property. Zaremba alleged that when he moved in with Cliburn he agreed to provide household services in exchange for a share in Cliburn’s income. However, there was no written proof of the alleged agreement. The trial court dismissed Zaremba’s claim. Zaremba appealed.
