Let’s start with an example. Esmeralda reports to Officers Jack and Jill that Bruno kidnapped her and held her prisoner for three weeks, after which he left her naked, beaten, and emaciated at the front door of her home. Esmeralda has the bruises and the scars to demonstrate her ordeal. Esmeralda indicates that she never really got a good look at her captor, but he had a distinctive voice. He also kept repeating a very distinctive saying: “The sun, moon, and stars have all aligned with me.”
