Fed. R. Civ. P. 68
Definition
A rule of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure that permits the making of a settlement offer within a specified period of time and provides that an offeree who rejects the offer and subsequently receives a less favorable judgment must pay costs incurred after the offer was made.
