Facts
A Wyoming statute prohibited a civil complaint for damages alleging a personal injury or wrongful death from including an allegation of the dollar amount of damages in the ad damnum clause or the prayer for damages. Pursuant to this statute, a trial court dismissed a complaint filed by White (plaintiff) for medical malpractice because it alleged a dollar amount of damages. White appealed.
