Nonsuit
Definition
The name of a judgment given against a plaintiff who is unable to provide evidence to prove his case, referred to as an “involuntary” nonsuit, or when a plaintiff voluntarily abandons or neglects to proceed to trial, called a “voluntary” nonsuit.
