Estate of Zucker
Pennsylvania Superior Court
761 A.2d 148 (2000)
Facts
Henry Zucker bequeathed a life estate to his daughter, Pauline Riddle, with equal remainder shares left to the Lutheran Home charity and “to George T. Foreman and Ethel C. Foreman . . . in equal shares, or to the survivor of them.” Both Foremans predeceased Riddle. After Riddle’s death, the probate court awarded the Foremans’ share of Zucker’s residual estate to the Lutheran Home. George Foreman Jr. (plaintiff) appealed the award to the Pennsylvania Superior Court, arguing that he inherited his parents’ remainder interest in Zucker’s estate.
