Paoloni v. Goldstein
United States District Court for the District of Colorado
331 F. Supp. 2d 1310 (2004)

- Written by Josh Lee, JD
Facts
Richard Doggett and others created the American Benefits Group Program (the ABG Program). Doggett fraudulently sold viatical settlement contracts in the ABG Program to the plaintiffs. Doggett received a substantial amount of money from these sales and established foreign and domestic corporations and trusts to hide and dissipate the assets. The Iglesias Family Trust (IFT) was created by Doggett for the purpose of purchasing a condominium, where Doggett now resides. The plaintiffs sued the IFT and requested a constructive trust be created. The plaintiffs moved for summary judgment.
