Mrs. Strnad (plaintiff) was artificially inseminated with the consent of Mr. Strnad (defendant), and she later and gave birth to a child. Mr. Strnad was not the biological father of the child. A dispute arose as to Mr. Strnad’s legal relationship with the child, including Mr. Strnad’s visitation rights.
