Plaintiff-class representatives Eric L. Sonmore and Jennifer M. Rodine (representatives) (plaintiffs) sought class certification in their case against multiple debt collectors (defendants). The representatives alleged that the debt collectors’ form letters and procedures violated the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. The debt collectors contested class certification.
