Michelle Vanek, JD

Michelle Vanek has served as an attorney drafting legislation with the Office of the Legislative Counsel of the United States House of Representatives since 2009.  In that capacity, she drafts Federal legislation for the members, committees, and leadership of the House, specializing in various areas of law, including the areas of agriculture, food and drugs, and public health. In addition, she has experience in matters relating to campaign finance, Medicaid, CHIP, the ACA, and science, space, and technology.  She earned her J.D. from the Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law, where she was an active member of both the Pro Bono Society, the Public Interest Fellowship Program, and the National Trial Team.   She earned her B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania.
