Founder and CEO
Hoplite Communications, LLC
Peter J. Lupo, Esq., is an attorney with over 20 years of experience, predominantly in telecommunications, land use, and property law. Mr. Lupo grew up in Brooklyn, New York, and moved to New Jersey after graduating high school. He attended CUNY Brooklyn College for his undergraduate studies and New York Law School for his legal education. He is also an officer in the United States Army Reserve, having achieved the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. Early on in his legal career, Mr. Lupo spent over a decade working on behalf of the major carriers, negotiating lease agreements, resolving notices of default, and facilitating project deployment, site construction, and a host of other tasks and deliverables required by wireless carriers to deploy and maintain their cellular networks. Mr. Lupo is also extensively involved in real estate transactions in his private practice. To date, he has closed on over 350 residential purchases and a growing number of commercial purchases and leases. This combination of telecommunications tower siting and property land use applications thoroughly familiarized him with the impact and nature of environmental laws and regulations at the local, state, and federal levels.
In 2017, Mr. Lupo formed Hoplite Communications, LLC, a telecommunications consulting firm specializing in municipal, county, and state-level representation. Over the past 4 years, through Hoplite, he has worked for and advocated on behalf of local government, county government, and public and state agencies in regard to wireless installations in the public rights-of-way, as well as on publicly owned lands such as town hall complexes and public parks. Mr. Lupo was also extensively involved in the physical construction of sites. This rounded experience and exposure have resulted in a 360-degree perspective regarding the environmental issues affecting land use.
