Definition

A provision of the United States Bankruptcy Code that prohibits an employer from terminating, or discriminating in employment against, a person who is or has in the past been a debtor protected by the bankruptcy laws, or someone associated with a current or former debtor, on the sole basis of the person’s status as a current or former debtor.
