“Depraved sexual instinct” exception

Definition

Common law exception to common law rule excluding evidence of crimes committed by the defendant in the past. The exception provides for admission of evidence of certain kinds of sexual conduct against the defendant in cases concerning incest, sodomy, criminal deviate conduct or child molestation.
