International Letter of Collection

Definition

A method of payment whereby the letter is issued by the seller’s bank and sent to the buyer’s bank; the buyer’s bank presents the letter to the buyer; and the buyer pays the amount due to its bank, which forwards the funds to the seller’s bank.
