Definition

One of the acts listed in Model Penal Code section 2.01(2) as not voluntary and therefore not punishable, namely a reflex or convulsion, a bodily movement performed during unconsciousness or sleep, conduct while under hypnosis or hypnotic suggestion, or some other bodily movement that is not the product of the actor's effort or determination, either consciously or habitual.
