Justiciable

Definition

Appropriate for adjudication by a court; presenting real interests instead of merely hypothetical or abstract ones. A justiciable controversy concerns a real issue that can be settled by a court, involving a present claim by one party with another party disputing it. Political questions, cases that are either unripe or moot, and matters without opposing parties are generally nonjusticiable.
