Refugee Status

Definition

An immigration status granted to a person who meets the definition of a refugee, who has not been firmly resettled in another country, and who applies for admission while outside the United States that permits the person to come and work in the United States, to seek citizenship for the person and for certain family members, and to travel to and from the United States.
