Definition

A combination of two compendia, the United States Pharmacopeia (USP) and the National Formulary (NF), that includes the quality standards for thousands of medicines, dosage forms, drug substances, active (API) and inactive (excipient) ingredients, biologics, compounded preparations, medical devices, dietary supplements, and other therapeutics.
